This was pretty cool... The byzantine just appeared out of no-where after the fall of the Roman Empire...
...not being a history buff, I don't get it, was it formed from the old Roman empire?
Short answer: essentially, yes. The Byzantine Empire was formed out of the old Roman Empire.
